Everyday Printing, Scanning and Copying
The HP DeskJet 4220e combines printing, scanning and copying in one compact device, making it suitable for daily home and personal document requirements.
It can be used to produce assignments, forms, correspondence, recipes, labels, photographs and other everyday colour or black-and-white documents.
Print Performance
The printer delivers ISO print speeds of up to 8.5 pages per minute in black and up to 5.5 pages per minute in colour.
In draft mode, it can print up to 20 pages per minute in black and up to 16 pages per minute in colour, helping users complete basic documents more quickly.
The first black page can be produced in as fast as 15 seconds, while the first colour page can be produced in as fast as 19 seconds.
Clear Black and Colour Output
Black print quality reaches up to 1200 × 1200 rendered dpi when printing from a computer, helping produce clear text and detailed everyday documents.
Colour print quality reaches up to 4800 × 1200 optimised dpi on selected HP photo papers with 1200 dpi input, making the printer suitable for photographs, charts and colourful projects.
Automatic Document Feeder
The integrated 35-sheet automatic document feeder allows users to scan or copy several pages without placing each sheet individually on the scanner glass.
This makes it more convenient to process forms, notes, invoices, assignments and other multi-page documents.
Scanning
The printer includes both a flatbed scanner and an automatic document feeder. It uses Contact Image Sensor technology and provides optical scanning resolution of up to 1200 dpi.
Supported scan file formats include JPEG, TIFF, PDF, BMP and PNG.
The automatic document feeder supports documents up to approximately 215.9 × 355.6 mm. Automatic two-sided scanning is not supported.
Copying
The copying function produces up to 6 black-and-white copies per minute and up to 3 colour copies per minute.
Users can produce up to nine copies in one job. Document reduction and enlargement settings are available through the HP app.
Wireless Printing
Built-in Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n allows the printer to connect to a compatible 2.4 GHz wireless network.
